The common room is the beating heart of the palace, a space that embodies memory and hospitality. And indeed, it bears the name of Giovanni, the patron deity of the palace and the Castellett
family. A man deeply attached to his roots, he was a careful guardian of the family properties and
the rooms of the house, which he protected with almost reverential and maniacal care. Although jealous of his belongings, Giovanni was generous and open to dialogue, always ready to share his
stories and experiences. He was aware that every room, every object kept in the building (prints,
drawings, paintings, certificates), contained a story that would one day come alive again, ready to
welcome new voices, faces and footsteps.
