A tribute to the current owner’s grandfather, Lieutenant Saverio, born in 1888. A man with elegant
features and a gentle soul who, having survived the First World War, returned to Ragusa to devote
himself to his true passion: engineering. With a sure and refined hand, Saverio drew his own designs for the works that were entrusted to him. Among these was the magnificent Donnafugata
Castle, an elegant and imposing 19th century aristocratic manor house (whose timeless charm,
neoclassical and gothic elements, labyrinth and 8-hectare park make it certainly one of the most striking destinations in the Hyblean territory), for which he worked on the gallery and the main elevation. In addition to being an esteemed professional, Saverio was a loving father, capable of instilling in his five childrenasense of balance and good taste.
